Great Start to Quality offers those individuals who work with early childhood programs and providers in Michigan opportunities to be directly involved.
For those who work with programs and providers that receive state or national monitoring, you can become a Great Start to Quality Approved Rater. Approved Assessors are able to conduct on-site assessments for those programs and providers who reach the assessment step in the Great Start to Quality rating process.
As an individual who works in the early childhood field, Great Start to Quality provides you with the professional development opportunities across the state.
There are also opportunities to hold trainings for programs and providers as long as certain criteria is met. As of January 1, 2016 all professional development opportunities offered by Great Start to Quality Resource Centers are required to be state approved. All trainers must complete the Trainer Approval Process and as of February 1, 2016, all trainings must be approved through the Training Approval Process.
As of February 1, 2018, the Trainer and Training Approval Process is administered and managed by the Michigan Registry.
